Multidisciplinary researcher advancing nanoscale design, scalable nanofabrication, and high-performance applications
Research Scientist at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), working at the intersection of plasmonics, 3D nano/microprinting and biosensing. My research focuses on wafer-scalable optical nanostructures, meniscus-guided 3D printing of multi-material architectures and brain-inspired biosensors for healthcare, environmental monitoring, and agri-food applications. I aim to translate nanoscale design principles into practical, scalable and sustainable photonic and sensing technologies through interdisciplinary research and collaboration.
Research Pillars & Core Focus
3D Nano/Micro Printing
First-in-field 3D printing of plasmonic architectures and multi-metallic nano-assemblies under 100 nm resolution. On-demand additive manufacturing for functional materials.
Bio-Inspired Sensors
Developing highly selective, biomimetic and brain-inspired sensors mapping volatile organic compounds for lung cancer diagnosis and environmental monitoring.
Wafer-Scalable Plasmonics
Engineering true single-bottom faceted NPoM nanocavities and ultrathin, ultrasmooth metallic films without wetting layers to advance scalable metamaterials.
